Who Are We?

We’re a group of local people and organisations who are involved with the park from different walks of life.  There are those who play sport, enjoy a walk, visit the playground with their children or walk the dog and others such as Roots and Shoots who are involved with our educational activities and  SLaM (NHS South London and Maudsley) who support our well-being programme by referring people to our Friday gardening club.

Set up in 2000, the Friends were set up to support the park’s regeneration, but today it’s more about well-being – getting out, staying healthy and feeling part of a community as well as keeping a safe, well maintained space.

We’ve achieved a lot and are now one of Lambeth's 12 Green Flag Award-winning parks which recognises the considerable achievements made by everyone, especially the Friends.
